I have Crocheted Against Time...




 ....and I have WON!





I've finished the pram blankets I've been making for my new niecelets in time to take them with me when I go to Australia this weekend.  They started as a way to use some plain yarn that I bought to make up the baby cardigans I knitted with textured yarn and just grew and grew!  I made the flowers with a daisy winder that my Grandma gave me -  turn a little knob in the middle and the spikes for weaving on pop out like a crafting weapon!



So now all I need to do before I go is post my  [profile] ds_northernnewsstory and make sure I've got some podfic ready to listen to on the plane.  Oh, and ...er.... pack!

Wow, they're lovely. Pink and yellow seem like good baby girl choices, and the pink isn't too cute and Barbie-like. Your sister will be thrilled!

Yes, it's quite a lilac-y pink so it's not too sickly. There are some quite yukky yarn colours out there....!

Thanks! I like the daisies too - and they're so quick and easy to make!
Heard on the news this morning that 2 planes bumped into each other on the runway at the airport I'm flying out from. Hopefully they'll be paying more attention on Saturday....

My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was small. I've discovered recently that although my brain no longer remembers how to do it, my hands are fine if I just leave them to get on with it.
