I've got the Proms on the TV and the presenter was just interviewing a music expert about the next suite which was to be played.  The interviewee coyly mentioned that one of the subject matters from the original opera was fellatio, to which the presenter replyed - in all seriousness -  "That's the subject matter dealt with but what about the music?  Does it stand up by itself?"

OMG she did not? *cackles madly* God. Some of the BBC presenters, especially for programmes the Beeb considers 'highbrow', always look so...innocent, somehow. Maybe I'm being unfair, but they give me the impression that they've just got out of Oxbridge and wouldn't recognise innuendo if it jumped out and bit them on the...well. They just wouldn't. *g*

She did! I waited for them to start giggling but they all just kept on being so bloody *earnest* about the music...so I giggled enough for the three of them!
