Reasons to miss April - 1,2,3...
May. 6th, 2007 06:22 pmWeirdly, I found myself missing aprilfools for the first few days of May.
I didn't miss the stress of 'what's my idea today-what time is it-can I get this written and posted?' but I did feel as if there was something missing - I suppose 30 days is plenty of time to form a habit! My mind was completely blank of any fic ideas as soon as I'd posted on April 30th, but I've got an idea growing now for ds_shakespeare that's longer and more complex than anything I've written so far - although it's already moving away from the original prompt - so I reckon I'll need someone to beta for me this time.
I definitely miss aprilfools for the reading - guaranteed new fic every day! - but I'm enjoying going back and re-reading some of them as well as some older (and often longer) favourites without having the writing pressure in the background.
And another reason to miss April is that May in school is just sucky. Tests, tests and more tests - aaargh!
