OMG I couldn't cope with several hundred children! My class don't have to do their all their tests in the same week like the older children do, but the stress of it all hangs in the air as tangibly as the smell of our healthy(!) school dinners. I try and shield my children from it as much as possible - because don't even get me started on the wrongness of getting six and seven year olds stressed about exams - and make everything as normal and relaxed as I can for my class. Then they go home and their parents sit them down with practise papers and make them recite times tables that they don't understand! *sigh*
